Untangled
Untangled is a webcomic about a powerful sorceress, who guards her borders and her bounderies closely. Her realm, her life and her direct surroundings are perfectly controlled, until a strange orc with a death wish enters her domain.
Here you can read some background on the characters and the world, but beware mild spoilers!
Queen Seriana ‘Seri’ Syltora
Queen Seriana is a powerful sorceress, a gifted necromancer and ruler of the Deep Greens. She is cold, calculating and ruthless in protecting her realm against anyone and anything she perceives as a threat. Seriana is older than she looks. Surrounded by thralls and servants who are magically bound to do her bidding, she has absolute control in her life, something that she has fought for and earned. About 20 years ago, she single handedly waged war against the human kingdom of Antalonia to her south, who invaded her woods. She used terror, fear, the undead and her magic to defeat her foes, earning her the nickname of ‘the Dreadqueen’.
Moreeghar ‘Mori’ the exile
Moreeghar is an orc of the Iron Orcs tribe. She is brave, curious and open and has a burning love for her tribe and her sister. Altough she is a fierce and powerful warrior and a gifted military commander, she was disgraced and stripped of her honor. Now exiled, she seeks the only way to restore her honor: a death in battle. The Deep Greens, the domain of the fabled Dreadqueen seems like a sure place to find just what Moreeghar is looking for.
Lord Zorack
Lord Zorack is a fraction of the essence of a literal demon lord from the 13th realm. Lured to this dimmension and trapped here by Queen Seriana, Zorack is now bound to her service. In this realm he is more magic and energy than anything else. He is immortal and he knows his servitude will either end when queen Seriana eventually dies or when this part of him is banished back to his own realm. He has all the time in the world and intends to use this to learn as much of this realm as possible.
Zim & Zara
Zim and Zara are the creations of Lord Zorack. Corporeal and mortal, they were created to interact with the world around them in ways Lord Zorack can’t himself. They are always curious, always up for adventure and new experiences. Through Zorack they are still bound to service to Queen Seriana, but with a degree of freedom other servants of the queen lack.
Achilles, the owlcat
Achilles is the pet owlcat of Moreeghar. Only a pet when he chooses to be, he is independent, free roaming and pretty much does whatever he wants to do whenever he wants to do it. Still, Moreeghar loves him and she is pretty sure the feeling is mutual.
The green deeps
The Green Deeps is an ancient and huge forest. It’s the domain of the dreadqueen and noone who enters, ever returns alive. But even before the terrible war with the dreadqueen, the people called it the Witchwoods. Old and terrible things stalk the shadows beneath the twisted trees. The orcs to the north of the Deep Greens have to cross a mountain range to reach the forest, but have long ago decided that it is not worth the trouble and they have stayed clear of these woods for centuries.
